Dr. Peterside is a finance and investment executive with over 25 years of experience spanning public finance management, investment banking, capital markets, and infrastructure policy development across Nigeria and the United States.

He currently serves as Director General of the Rivers State Investment Promotion Agency, where he leads investment strategy, investor engagement, and regulatory coordination aimed at attracting foreign and domestic capital to the state. In this role, he works closely with both public and private sector stakeholders to drive sustainable economic growth.

Dr. Peterside previously served as Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Rivers State (2011–2015), and was a long-standing member of the Rivers State Economic Advisory Council, where he contributed to fiscal policy, economic planning, and financial governance.

Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in the United States financial services sector, including with Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group, HSBC Brokerage (USA), Inc., and MetLife Financial Services. He has also founded and led several investment and advisory firms, including Xcellon Capital Advisors and New Era Capital Corp, reflecting strong entrepreneurial and leadership credentials.

He holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Finance from Friendship University, Moscow, and is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD).
